Fuel-cell boat stalls on historic journey

Recently, we reported on a group of students from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute who set out to re-create Robert Fulton's voyage up the Hudson River using hydrogen-powered fuel cells instead of steam.

They didn't get very far, according to Jim Motavalli's blog on Mother Nature Network.

The students are currently in New Hamburg, N.Y., trying to figure out what went wrong with the 22-footer.
