Google Earth adds aquatic element

The popular online Earth exploration tool Google Earth, in cooperation with NOAA, has added an ocean element that enables virtual exploration. NOAA contributed a variety of data and imagery to the project, such as a trip to the submerged wreck of the Titanic, and information and ocean current maps demonstrating marine debris movement. NOAA also provides data from NOAA’s National Data Buoy Center and seabed maps of U.S. coastal waters. Click here to learn more.
