Group restores Joe DiMaggio’s boat

Joltin' Joe, a 22-foot Chris-Craft, was built in 1947 and presented to the famed slugger by New York Yankees fans in 1949 after he carried the team on his back to the American League pennant.

"It's history, just incredible," said the Yankee Clipper's third-cousin Debbi DiMaggio, looking at the shell of the boat, now being restored. "To see that it existed and it's here, and that he was probably riding in that boat with Marilyn Monroe, which is kinda cool."
