Gulf ban could jeopardize fishing tourneys

The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration recently expanded the no-fishing zone in federal waters west because the oil slick, caused by an April 20 explosion of a BP oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico is being pushed westward by wind.

The possibility of the oil coming ashore on the Florida panhandle and the tough economy have left fishing tournament directors wondering whether putting on a successful fishing tournament is possible this year.
