Half Moon replica ship sails the Connecticut River

Boaters on the Connecticut River might have noticed an unusual sight on Independence Day – the Half Moon, a re-creation of the ship Henry Hudson used to explore New York and New England in the early 17th century.

The replica, built in 1989, was being crewed by students from the Connecticut River Academy in Hartford.
