Hinckley Co. names new CEO

The board of directors for the Hinckley Company has elected Gerard DiSchino president and chief executive office of the Maine-based yacht manufacturer, replacing retiring CEO Ralph Willard, who will become chairman of the board.

DiSchino joined Hinckley in 2000 as general manager of the company’s subsidiary, The Ted Hood Company. He was then promoted to president of Hinckley’s Yacht Service Division, and in 2003 was named the company’s chief operating officer.

As incoming CEO, DiSchino, a resident of North Kingston, R.I., along with his wife and three children, will operate out of the corporate offices in Portsmouth, R.I.
