Hinckley Yacht Services said it will display its most recent refit/repower on a Talaria 44 at the Feb. 13-17 Miami International Boat Show.
The boat will be at slip 417 at Sea Isle Marina and be available by appointment for sea trials. Hinckley said the ground-breaking performance of the new FPT N67 570 EPA Tier 3-compliant engines , rated at 570 hp, combined with Hinckley ’s latest control system, JetStick II, sets the bar for class-leading grace and power.
“After repowering my own 44 last season, I have been impressed by the performance of the FPT marine engines,” Hinckley CEO and president Jim McManus said in a statement.
“My cruise speed increased by 5 knots, with a wide-open-throttle speed of 33 knots. Fuel economy was significantly improved, and my family really loves the lower noise and emissions of the new engines . We have great confidence in the performance and reliability of the FPT product , so much so that we currently have numerous repowers going on across our seven service yards, and several new boats are currently being constructed with FPT N67 570s, as well as FPT C90 650s. We are excited to partner with FPT in 2014 to offer all brands of recreational yachts this exciting opportunity at any of our full-service yacht yards from Maine to Florida.”
