The Duxbury Bay Maritime School will host the HMS Bounty for the seventh annual Opening of the Bay celebration on Memorial Day weekend, May 28 and 29. The 180-foot tall ship, featured in the movies “Mutiny on the Bounty” and “Treasure Island,” will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Scheduled events include an evening dockside Swashbucklers Soiree benefit dance, a Family Day Festival and a silent auction.

The Bounty will be docked at the town float at Snug Harbor off Mattakeesett Court, adjacent to DBMS. Proceeds will benefit the Massachusetts school’s programs, including junior and adult sailing, rowing, kayaking, ACCESSAIL for people with disabilities and Maritime Adventures for underprivileged children.
