Inn inside lighthouse prepares for summer opening

The Inn at Cuckolds Lighthouse announced that it launched its website as it moves one step closer to its grand opening this summer.

For the first time in history, the Cuckolds — a pair of granite islands off the coast of Maine’s Boothbay Harbor, will be open to guests for overnight stays, island tours, and other education and recreation activities.

The Inn is located inside the 19th century lighthouse, which a group of committed local citizens, the Cuckolds Council, rescued from demolition and restored over the last decade.

“The website launch marks an important milestone that brings us one step closer to making this magnificent property accessible to the public,” said Janet Reingold, founder and vice president of the non-profit Cuckolds Council, which owns and manages the island.

The website,, features images of the inn’s stunning 360-degree ocean views, virtual tours of the two guest suites and common areas, and online reservation inquiries.
