Investigators: damage to sunken vessel happened on the surface

Steve Gatto, the man coordinating the volunteer investigative dives to the Lady Mary, a 71-foot scallop boat sunk in 210 feet of water about 70 miles of the coast of Cape May, N.J., told investigators that recent evidence shows that whatever sunk the vessel in the early morning hours of March 24 happened on the surface.
