Landing School offers February start date

The Landing School, a post-secondary institution focused on educating tomorrow's marine industry professionals, announced it will begin offering a February start for its yacht design and wooden-boat building programs.

Beginning Feb. 13, this addition to the curriculum will offer prospective students the opportunity to begin their studies seven months earlier than with a typical September offering, allowing them to graduate and begin their career sooner.

“Because our students are at the core of every decision we make here at the school, we were compelled to expand our curriculum to better fit the changing needs of our incoming student body,” school president Bob DeColfmacker said in a statement.

“With this second start we are proactively offering more options for both our students and the marine industry as a whole by educating qualified graduates more frequently throughout the year,” he added.

Space for these programs is limited; prospective students are asked to contact The Landing School in Arundel, Maine, as soon as possible to inquire about admission. The school is holding an open house Jan. 6 for those who would like to tour the school.
