There were no lobsters coming into Prince Edward Island ports on Thursday. Fishermen across the province voted during meetings at their ports on Wednesday to tie up for a day in hopes of forcing their demands for better prices.

There had been rumors for days that the price would be around $3 a pound, and that was pretty well confirmed on Wednesday with reports of $2.75 for canners and $3.25 for markets. Several hundred eastern P.E.I. boats tied up on Wednesday, and by Wednesday evening other ports followed suit.
