REVISED NAUTICAL CHARTS

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has updated the following nautical charts:

• chart 13205, 38th ed. — Block Island Sound and Approaches;

• chart 12323, 24th ed. — Sea Girt to Little Egg,

The new editions are available through NOAA sales agents. A free list of authorized sales agents is available by contacting the National Ocean Service, Distribution Division (N/ACC3), 6501 Lafayette Ave., Riverdale, Md.20737.

BRONX, N.Y.

Demolition of Hunts Pt. relieving platforms and installation of rip-rap is being done until Oct. 21. The hours of operation are seven days a weeks from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. On scene are barges Phoenix 7, Phoenix 9, C1, C3, C5 and C7 that are spudded down and the Phoenix 3. UPPERNEW YORKBAY,

BUTTERMILK CHANNEL, N.Y.

Turner Construction is conducting pier repairs at Governors Island through June 1. Work hours are 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. A crane barge and barge are on scene. Mariners are requested to give a wide berth and transit the construction area at a reduced speed to minimize wake. (NOAA chart 12334)

HARLEM RIVER, N.Y. (REVISED)

Spearin Preston & Burrows Inc. will be installing riverbed marine fill at the Harlem-Concourse MTA tunnel located in the Harlem River, north of the MacombsDamBridge (Mile 3.2), and will require periodic closures of alternating halves of the channel through April 24. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Construction will occur in only one-half of the channel on the Harlem River at a time. The other half of the channel, delineated by the anchor point lighted marker buoys, will be available for vessel navigation. During work hours, the construction platform will move on demand if one-hour advance notice is given to the on-scene vessel operator via marine radio VHF channel 13. During non-working hours, the unmanned construction platform will remain on site and be illuminated with an all-around white light visible for at least one mile on its outboard corners. The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to this waterway in February:

• change Norwalk East Approach gong buoy 5 (LL 24925) to Norwalk East Approach buoy 5 (LL 24925), green can. (NOAA charts 12363, 12364, 12368)
