REVISED NAUTICAL CHARTS

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has updated the following nautical charts:

• chart 12335, 41st ed. — Hudson and East Rivers, Governors Island to 67th Street;

• chart 12334, 68th ed. — New York Harbor, Upper Bay and Narrows, Anchorage Chart;

• chart 12338, 10th ed. — East River, Newtown Creek;

• chart 12339, 45th ed. — East River, Tallman Island to Queensboro Bridge.

The new editions are available through NOAA sales agents. A free list of authorized sales agents is available by contacting the National Ocean Service, Distribution Division (N/ACC3), 6501 Lafayette Ave., Riverdale, Md. 20737.

HUDSON RIVER, COXSACKIE

TO TROY, COEYMANS DIKE, N.Y.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to aids to navigation in this waterway in October:

• change Coeyman Dike daybeacon A (LL 38835) to Coeyman Dike buoy A (LL 38835) W or marked DANGER SUBMERGED JETTY. Maintained from April 1 to Nov. 15;

• change Coeyman Dike daybeacon B (LL 38840, to Coeyman Dike buoy B (LL 38840) W or marked DANGER SUBMERGED JETTY. Maintained from April 1 to Nov. 15;

• change Coeyman Dike daybeacon C (LL 38845) to Coeyman Dike buoy C (LL 38845) W or marked DANGER SUBMERGED JETTY. Maintained from April 1 to Nov. 15;

• change Coeyman Dike daybeacon D (LL 38850) to Coeyman Dike buoy D (LL 38850) W or marked DANGER SUBMERGED JETTY. Maintained from April 1 to Nov. 15.

SEACOAST,

APPROACHES TO NEW YORK, NANTUCKET SHOALS

TO FIVE FATHOMS BANK, N.J.

Rutgers University will be temporarily establishing a yellow discus-type research buoy in approximate position 40 18 00.000N, 073 20 00.000W The buoy has a flashing yellow (amber) 4 second light, with five solar panels and a single whip that extends 20 feet above the water line. The aid will be at this position through Dec. 31. For further information contact Rutgers University Coastal Ocean Observation Lab. (NOAA charts 12300, 13003, 13006)

EAST RIVER, N.Y.

Under- and above- water bulkhead rehabilitation work is being done on Pier 11 and the Battery Maritime building until March 31. The hours of operations are Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. On scene are work and concrete barges, flexifloat and floating work stages. VHF channels 10 and 16 are being monitored. Mariners are requested to produce no wake when transiting the area.

EAST RIVER,

EAST 34TH STREET PIER, N.Y.

Weeks Marine will be conducting operations to construct a new pier along with the existing East 35th Street Pier and installing two barges for ferry landing at the site through Aug. 1, 2007. Work hours are 6 a.m. - 5p.m, Monday - Friday. Weeks barge 276 and service barge 241 or 11 will be on-scene and will monitor VHF channel 65. (NOAA chart 12335)
