REVISED NAUTICAL CHARTS

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has updated the following nautical charts:

• chart 14782, 25th ed. — Cumberland Head to FourBrothersIslands;

• chart 12333, 34th ed. — Kill Van Kull and Northern Part of Arthur Kill (Inset).

The new editions are available through NOAA sales agents. A free list of authorized sales agents is available by contacting the National Ocean Service, Distribution Division (N/ACC3), 6501 Lafayette Ave., Riverdale, Md.20737.

CHAPEL HILL

NORTH CHANNEL, N.Y.

The Coast Guard has received a report of a large Yokohama fender suspended just below the surface of the water. The fender is west of Chapel HillNorth Channel lighted bell buoy 17 (LL 35265) in approximate position 40 32 843N, 074 02 72W. Mariners are advised to proceed with caution and report any sightings to the U.S. Coast Guard.

HUDSON RIVER,

TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE, N.Y.

Perini & Bridge Construction Services will be inspecting and surveying the bridge structure in preparation of vehicle lane replacements on the bridge. Sterling Equipment deck barges with manlifts and Bridge Construction Services work boats will be on scene. Work hours are 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. through Oct. 3. This project will not interfere with vessel transits. (NOAA chart 12343)

SANDY HOOK HARBOR, N.Y.

The Coast Guard has received a report of a 250-foot deck barge aground in approximate position 40 25 00N, 074 00.00W. Mariners are requested to proceed with caution and report sightings to the U.S. Coast Guard.

EAST RIVER, STEINWAY/

LUYSTER CREEK, N.Y.

Platform demolition and dredging is being conducted at the A11 dock through May 31, 2006. The Mia Forte Elsa crane barge will be on scene and monitoring VHF channels 16, 13 and 69. (NOAA chart 12339)

SHINNECOCKBAY TO EAST ROCKAWAY INLET, SAILORS HAVEN CHANNEL, N.Y.

Marina construction is ongoing at Sailor’s Haven Marina on Fire Island National Seashore until May 15. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Public access to the marina or Sailor’s Haven Marina Channel will be denied while construction is being done. (NOAA chart 12352)

HACKENSACK RIVER, N.J.

PSE&G will be installing steel sheeting and a floating turbidity boom along the Hackensack shoreline between the SR 80 Bridge (mile 15.2) and Gas Works Creek through April 30, 2007. A work boat will be assisting from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. (NOAA chart 12337)

NEWYORKHARBOR,

ARTHUR KILL, N.Y.

The Coast Guard has received a report of a submerged obstruction in approximate position 40 38.82N, 074 10.53W. The obstruction is being marked by a survey vessel remaining on station. In the southern portion of the channel, 475 feet of channel remain open for transit. Mariners are advised to transit the area with caution. (NOAA chart 12333)
