REVISED NAUTICAL CHARTS

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has updated the following nautical charts:

• chart 12300, 46th ed. — Approaches to New York, Nantucket Shoals to Five Fathom Bank;

• chart 11547, 37th ed. — MoreheadCityHarbor;

• chart 12225, 56th ed. — Chesapeake Bay Wolf Trap to Smith Point.

The new editions are available through NOAA sales agents. A free list of authorized sales agents is available by contacting the National Ocean Service, Distribution Division (N/ACC3), 6501 Lafayette Ave., Riverdale, Md.20737.

LITTLE EGG INLET, BRIGANTINE/BEACH HAVEN, N.J.

There is a fishing vessel wreck outside of the Little Egg Inlet channel located at 39 29.16N, 074 17.52W. On the shoal, there is about 40 feet of keel and 4 feet of the hull framing submerged. In addition, a few feet of the A-frame is exposed at low tide, but it is expected to shift and submerge. (NOAA chart 12316)

DELAWARE RIVER, CHESAPEAKEANDDELAWARE (C&D) CANAL, DEL. and MD.

Mariners are advised that repairs are in progress at the MD-213/Chesapeake City Bridge, at mile 13.9, across the C&DCanal in ChesapeakeCity. The work involves bearing and expansion seal replacements along with miscellaneous repairs. The first operation will be the installation of a shielding/work platform system under the bridge. However, mariners are also advised to exercise extreme caution when transiting the area due to potential hazards such as objects that may fall from the bridge onto the waterway. The project will alternate work between day and night hours, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Oct. 31. (NOAA charts 12277, 2311)

ST. JEROME CREEK, MD.

On or about Oct. 30, St. Jerome Creek light 9 (LL 18820) will be changed to daybeacon 9. St. Jerome Creek light 11 (LL 18823) will be established at 38 07 22.726N, 076 20 42.976W, with a flashing green, four seconds characteristic. (NOAA charts 12233, 12285)

CHESTERRIVER, ROCKHALL HARBOR, MD.

On or about Sept. 30, RockHallHarbor lighted buoy 5 (LL 26897) will be discontinued. RockHallHarbor warning daybeacon A (LL 26900) will be changed to RockHallHarbor light 5 showing a flashing green, four seconds characteristic. (NOAA charts 12272, 12273)

POMOKE SOUND, STARLING CREEK, MD.

On or about Sept. 30, Starling Creek light 1 (LL 22455) will be changed to light 1S and the sound signal (HORN) will be discontinued. (NOAA charts 12228, 12230)

APPROACHES TO BALTIMOREHARBOR, POPLAR ISLAND, MD.

Mclean Contracting has established a temporary lighted mooring buoy in association with their dredging project at PoplarIsland, until Dec. 20:

• Mclean Poplar Island temporary lighted mooring buoy A (no LL) 38 46 57.00N, 076 21 23.64W, flashing white 4 seconds, white with blue band.

CHESAPEAKE BAY

(HONGA, NANITCOKE, WICOMICORIVERSAND FISHING BAY),

WICOMICO RIVER, MD.

Effective Sept. 4, the Coast Guard was scheduled to change drawbridge operation regulations of two Maryland Department of Transportation bridges: the Main Street and U.S. 50 Bridges, at mile 22.4, across the WicomicoRiver (North Prong) in Salisbury, Md. This final rule will allow the bridges to open on signal if four hours advance notice is given and eliminate the continual attendance of draw tender services while still providing for the reasonable needs of navigation. CHESAPEAKE BAY, BALTIMOREHARBOR, CURTISCREEK, MD.

Mariners are advised that Cianbro Corporation is conducting wharf renovations, seven days a week, at their facility located at 605 Pittman Road, Baltimore, adjacent to CurtisCreek, through the remainder of 2007. Operations will include mechanical (clam bucket) dredging from their existing bulkhead, extending northwesterly about 500 feet and cluster timber pile installations located 100 and 200 feet west of their existing bulkhead. Dredge material will be transported from the area by barge. Mariners are urged to use caution when transiting the area.
