NARRAGANSETT BAY,

EAST PASSAGE, R.I.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following change to aids to navigation on the Providence River in May:

• delete East Passage buoy 23 (LL 118090).

CAPE NEDDICK HARBOR TO ISLES OF SHOALS, MAINE

The Coast Guard has established a safety zone of 100 yards on either side of the Cape Neddick Harbor Bridge, also known as the Shore Road Bridge, in Cape Neddick, Maine. No vessel traffic is allowed to move within 100 yards of the bridge without permission from the Captain of The Port, Sector Northern New England. Affected mariners are requested to contact Coast Guard Sector Northern New England on VHF channel 16 for further information. (NOAA chart 13283)

PLYMOUTH, KINGSTON AND DUXBURY HARBORS,

THE NUMMET CHANNEL, MASS.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to aids to navigation in June:

• relocate The Nummet Channel buoy 6 (LL 12765) to approximate position 41 59 27.2N, 070 40 22.9W;

• change The Nummet Channel buoy 3 (LL 12750) to The Nummet Channel buoy 7 (12760) and relocate to approximate position 41 59 24.2N, 070 4040.1W;

• change The Nummet Channel buoy 5 (LL 12760) to The Nummet Channel buoy 9 (12765) and relocate to approximate position 41 59 19.7N, 070 40 50.0W.

PLYMOUTH, KINGSTON AND DUXBURY HARBORS,

DUXBURY BAY, MASS.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to aids to navigation in June:

• change Duxbury Bay Channel buoy 1 (LL 12585) to Duxbury Bay Channel buoy 3 (LL 12590);

• change Duxbury Bay Channel buoy 2 (LL 12590) to Duxbury Bay Channel buoy 2 (LL 12585).

SALEM AND LYNN HARBORS, DANVERS RIVER, MASS.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to aids to navigation in June:

• delete Danvers River buoy 9 (LL 10315).

SEACOAST, GEORGES BANKS AND NANTUCKET SHOALS, MASS.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to aids to navigation in May:

• change Eastern Point lighted whistle buoy 2 (LL 340) nominal range to three nautical miles.

UPPER NEW YORK BAY,

BUTTERMILK CHANNEL, N.Y.

Berths 7 south and 8 north at the Brooklyn Marine Terminal have been reopened after the removal of a sunken NYCHRR barge and railcars. Access is limited to vessels with a draft of 30 feet or less. Vessels are requested to transit the area with caution and contact the Port Operations Manager, New York Marine Terminal, at (718) 330-2968 with questions. (NOAA chart 12334)

FLANDERS BAY, N.Y.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to aids to navigation in this waterway in June:

• change Flanders Bay lighted buoy 2 (LL 28905) nominal range to 3 nautical miles.

GREAT PECONIC BAY, N.Y.

The Coast Guard was scheduled to make the following changes to aids to navigation in this waterway in June:

• change Great Peconic Bay lighted buoy 26 (LL 28750 nominal range to 3 nautical miles,

• change Great Peconic Bay lighted buoy 30 (LL 28785 nominal range to 3 nautical miles.

LONG ISLAND SOUND, N.Y.

Construction of a new timber dock will be under way in Manhasset Bay until approximately Aug. 14. The work will be done during daylight hours. On scene will be a floating crane and hydraulic hammer and jet that will be monitoring VHF channels 9 and 13.(NOAA chart 12366)

LITTLE PECONIC BAY, N.Y.

The following aids to navigation will not have the winter hull seasonally relieved prior to the advertised Light List date of May 1. Anticipate relieving the winter hull on or about June 15:

• North Race lighted buoy 3 (LL 28690).

EAST RIVER,

HARLEM RIVER, N.Y.

Spearin Preston & Burrows Inc. will be conducting operations for eight MTA tunnels located in the East River and Harlem River on, or about, May 24, 2006, through March 27, 2007. A floating construction plant consisting of a 120-foot derrick crane barge, a stone barge, and one crew boat will be on scene at various locations. (NOAA charts 12335, 12342)
