An employee of Rex Marine Center in Norwalk, Conn., suffered minor injuries last week when a 38-foot powerboat fell on top of the Toyota Camry he was driving in the Water Street boatyard.
The man was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment for an injury to his right shoulder, Resnick said.
The accident occurred around 11:42 a.m. when the man got behind the wheel of the Toyota and tried to put the car into reverse, Resnick said. The business uses the car, which is an older model, expressly for traveling around the boatyard, Resnick said.
Instead, the car rolled forward, hitting a metal support holding the Four Winns cruiser suspended about 18 inches from the ground in a rack device, bringing the boat down as well as several other pieces of metal.
