Marine expo to debut in New Jersey

The inaugural Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo begins Friday at FirstEnergy Park, home of the Lakewood BlueClaws, in Lakewood, N.J. This three-day boating sales event runs Sept. 18-20 and will feature more than 40 new boat lines with representation from 15 local marine retailers.

The Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo will offer new and used boats and accessories.

The Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA) and The Fisherman Magazine will be presenting a lineup of professional seminar speakers Saturday at the event. Scheduled speakers include Gary Caputi, covering Fishing for Striped Bass, at 2:30 p.m., and at 4:30 p.m. will be Proven Tactics for Chunking presented by Capt. John Cafiero and Capt. Greg Markert.

In addition, attendees will not want to miss the Fisheries Town Hall meeting featuring an open forum discussion on the new saltwater registry and its impact on New Jersey's saltwater fishermen. The Town Hall meeting starts at noon and will include representatives from the National Marine Fisheries Service, RFA, MTA/NJ and the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife.
