MarineMax Vacations adds power cats in BVI

MarineMax Vacations announced the addition of several power catamarans to its charter fleet.

Initially, 10 new and well-equipped power catamarans will be available for charter, beginning June 1, at the MarineMax Vacations charter base in the British Virgin Islands, operating from the Hodges Creek Marina.

The MarineMax 382 is a customized Aquila 38 Power Cat, designed by the naval architect team of Morelli and Melvin and built by Sino Eagle Yachts, which is based in Fuyang City, China.

“We are extremely pleased to offer our customers a modern power catamaran, with particular emphasis on improving comfort on board,” MarineMax Vacations vice president of sales and marketing Raul Bermudez said in a statement.

“With a forward walk-through from the huge flybridge, electric stove, water maker, electric barbecue grill, wireless connectivity, genset, air conditioning and water maker, we are confident that these two-cabin, two-head power cats will deliver the comfort standards that MarineMax Vacations demands for our customers,” he added.

MarineMax Vacations already operates 13 new Dufour sailing yachts from the British Virgin Islands. With the addition of 10 new MarineMax 382s and additional boats to be ordered, there will be more than 30 boats from which to choose.
