Now through March 31, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is opening its marina for members and guests to use for discounted, long-term winter docking. The non-profit’s campus is situated on the Miles River and St. Michaels’ harbor.
“We have 25 slips along our protected waterfront,” said museum dockmaster and guest services manager Megan Fisher. “Our slips can accommodate boats with up to a 9-foot draft, with amenities including finger piers, pump out services, and electric services at a number of our slips.”
Per-foot winter docking rates are discounted more than 50-percent off the museum’s summer rates, with further discounts given the longer boats stay docked at the museum.
Reservations need to be made through the dockmaster’s office Monday through Friday from 9-5 p.m., with weekend arrivals making reservations at least 48 hours in advance during the dockmaster’s hours.
Boaters should note that the museum’s marina shower facilities are closed through the winter.
During the promotion, non-museum members who join at the Mariner’s level are eligible to receive their first winter night’s stay at no charge, and enjoy museum docking privileges year-round.
To make marina reservations, call the dockmaster during business hours at (410) 745-4981.
