Mystery over careful sailors death
A number of factors including an unusually large rogue wave may have led to the fatal boating accident just south of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge that killed a couple, both in their 50s, who friends say were experienced sailors.
The husband/skipper had sailed their Ranger 33 for more than 25 years.
"He was a very good sailor and a very careful sailor," said one friend. "[He] always conducted person-overboard drills, and was always very, very careful."
