With safety precautions in place to stave off Covid-19 infections, a downsized Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show opened to visitors on Wednesday. There are fewer boats on display and the crowds are smaller, but nevertheless, lots of new and updated models are being unveiled. Here are just some of the boats that are making their debut at FLIBS this week:
Belize 54 Daybridge
The new Belize 54 Daybridge has one level living from the galley aft to the cockpit, three staterooms—including a master stateroom that extends the full beam of the yacht—and two heads on the accommodation deck. Glass cockpit navigation and a Volvo Penta Integrated Propulsion System (IPS) with joystick docking should make operating this Australian beauty a breeze.
Pursuit S 428
The new flagship of Pursuit’s center-console Sport Series is the largest, most powerful and most spacious Pursuit ever built. With quad Yamaha 425 XTO engines you should be able to get to your favorite swimming hole in record time and also grill that fish you just hauled in.
Beneteau Antares 11
The 36-foot, 4-inch Antares 11 is the flagship of Beneteau’s outboard-powered Antares lineup. The mission of the Antares 11 is to be the bridge between the weekender and a full cruiser. Soundings Senior Editor recently reviewed the Antares 11 in the magazine. You can read that review here.
Solace 41 CS
The Solace 41CS center console with twin-stepped hull features a one-piece dive door, electric windshield, a transformable bow seating area and a cabin with enclosed shower and head. It is designed as a family fishing boat or tournament fishing boat.
Viking 54 Convertible
Over the past two decades, Viking Yachts has introduced 10 models in the 50- to 60-foot sportfish class. The latest is the Viking 54 Convertible, which makes its world debut at FLIBS. With a 154-square-foot cockpit, the three-stateroom, two-head open bridge yacht has an estimated cruise speed in the mid-30-knot range with a top end of 40-plus knots with optional MAN V12 1550CRM diesels.
Robalo's new R360 is its first double-stepped hull and its largest model to date. It is powered by triple Yamaha or Mercury Marine outboards.
The newly redesigned Aquila 32 has been extended, features a new hardtop, and combines catamaran stability and a wide beam with Mercury outboards.
The Everglades 235cc is a family-friendly, multi-purpose boat for fishing, cruising or picnicking. It features a 180-degree swivel helm mezzanine seat. Fishing equipment includes a standard live well, integrated cup and rod holders in the deck and a transom fishbox.
Cruiser 42 Cantius
The Cruiser 42 Cantius has a retractable roof, 360-degree windows and a cockpit with wrap-around, convertible seating. It can be customized with a grill, refrigerator, stools and more.
Williams Jet Tender Minijet 280
Williams Jet Tenders Minijet 280 offers owners of 45- to 55-foot yachts an alternative to a conventional outboard tender. For 2021, all new models will be 60 horsepower to provide owners better watersport performance. An upgrade in power is available for existing customers who currently have 45 or 50 horsepower Minijets.
