The 290 Cruiser from Monterey Boats was introduced at the Miami International Boat Show this year and sports the styling that will be the standard for the forthcoming Monterey Cruiser and Sport Yacht models, according to the company.
The 290’s helm station houses full instrumentation, including a depth sounder, compass and tachometers. All gauges have no-fog polycarbonate lenses and chrome bezels, and electronic toggle switches are lighted. The boat comes standard with tilt steering, and the captain’s chair has a flip-up bolster. There is a remote control at the helm for the AM/FM/CD stereo, located in the cabin. There also is a pair of 12-volt receptacles.
Below, the 290’s galley has Granicoat countertops and is equipped with a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, sink and coffee maker. The head compartment has a curtained, stand-up shower with a shower seat and comes standard with a 120-volt outlet and a VacuFlush marine head with holding tank. A mirrored vanity with sink and storage is included.
A dinette/settee is forward, and there is a U-shaped lounge in the aft midcabin. Both the settee and lounge convert to double berths with privacy curtains. In addition to the cabin’s upholstered surfaces, cherry is used to finish the 290’s interior.
The cockpit area has a removable transom seat and an entertainment center to port with wet bar, covered sink with faucet, built-in cooler, cup holders and additional storage. The 290 also has an integrated swim platform. Engine options include twin MerCruiser or Volvo Penta sterndrives. Base price with Volvo 4.3 GXi engines is $121,170.

EggHarbor 50 SportYacht
The 50 SportYacht is designed to perform in tournament competition, its strong sheer line and generous freeboard providing a soft, dry ride, according to EggHarbor. SportYacht models are designed with roomy flybridges, according to the builder, and the 50 has overhangs both fore and aft.
The helm is located amidships. The cockpit has a bait-prep center with tackle drawers, and a sink and freezer standard. There also is an insulated fishbox with macerator, live well with recirculating pump, and four flush-mounted rod holders.
The 50 SportYacht has a three-stateroom, two-head layout. The master stateroom is to port and has a private head. The forward guest stateroom has an island berth, and the third stateroom, to starboard, has upper and lower berths. A second head is located between the guest staterooms.
Engine options include twin 700-hp Caterpillar C-12s, 825-hp MTU Series 60s, or 1,000-hp Caterpillar C-18s. The composite-construction 50 was due to launch this spring.

The Riviera 33 Flybridge Convertible is a hand-laid fiberglass sportfisherman by Australian builder Riviera Yachts. The flybridge layout places the helm aft — with adjustable helm and companion chairs — and lounge seating forward. A Bimini top is standard, and there is an option for a refrigerator beneath the helm station.
The lighted cockpit has storage, raw water washdown, hot and cold freshwater shower, transom bait-prep center, engine room access, and a refrigerated locker.
There is a transom door, and a swim platform is optional. There are a few layout choices for the saloon. The layout without a lower helm station has a dinette and table to starboard and lounge to port. Optional layouts with a lower helm station call for a clear tempered glass windshield (tinted glass is standard), with the dinette moved to port.

McKee Craft Marathon 184
McKee Craft has added a new fishing boat to its lineup of “unsinkables.” Introduced at the Miami International Boat Show in February, the Marathon 184 center console is built entirely of composite construction using McKee’s Pressure Bonding System, rather than a stringer system, with closed-cell foam coring.
The hull carries a 10-year limited structural warranty.

Wellcraft 232 Coastal
The 232 Coastal is a new single-outboard fishing and cruising boat from Wellcraft. The cabin has a self-contained head, a galley with a sink and storage, and a cushioned V-berth with storage beneath. A butane stove is optional, as is a dinette table and filler cushions for the V-berth.
The cockpit is accessed from the integrated swim platform through a full-height transom. The cockpit is equipped with a pair of stainless steel rod holders, a 92-quart lighted bait well with overboard drain, a 90-quart fishbox to starboard, and a 90-quart dry storage compartment to port. The area has skid-resistant surfaces and under-gunwale rod storage. The helm has port and starboard pedestal seats, and a folding aft bench seat is optional.
Other optional equipment includes trim tabs, raw-water washdown, transom shower and heavy-duty dive ladder. An optional Bimini top can be part of a canvas package with side and drop curtains with a windshield connector.
