Regulator 23

Regulator has introduced a new “family friendly” 23FS center console alongside the redesigned version of its standard 23-footer. The idea behind the 23FS is to offer more comfort, storage, amenities and fishing features than other boats in its class, according to the builder.

The new offshore boat has a 360-degree padded coaming that, at the bow, serves as a backrest for a bench seating area. Under the seats is a pair of 140-quart wet/dry storage compartments. Forward of the console is a cushioned, integrated 64-quart cooler seat, in addition to a 695-quart in-deck forward fishbox.

At the stern, there is a 48-quart bait box on each side of the engine splash well.

The splash well door is full height and one piece, and can be covered with the coaming pad. There also is a 25-gallon in-deck live well abaft the leaning post, which has upholstered seating for two. An optional Supersport leaning post has flip-up seating with built-in foot- and backrests, tackle storage, nine rod holders, and space for a 94-quart cooler underneath.

The console has storage and a fiberglass panel for flush-mounted electronics.

Options include a fiberglass T-top with anodized aluminum frame, outriggers, trim tabs, three-sided enclosure and tilt steering.

Malibu Sunscape 21 LSV

The Sunscape 21 LSV is a V-drive ski and wakeboard boat with a newly designed deck and hull. It is the smallest of Malibu’s Luxury Sport-V series tow boats at 21 feet, 6 inches overall, with a seating capacity of 12. The boat is 6 inches longer and 5 inches beamier than its predecessor, and has 30 cubic feet

of aft storage in addition to a 60-quart cooler. The standard helm seat to starboard has a flip-up bolster. The rest of the cockpit seating wraps around from the helm to the port side companion seat, which faces aft for spotting the skier. The console on the companion side contains storage. The Diamond hull design angles the strakes down so the boat rides higher and displaces less water, according to the company.

Malibu says a pair of brass Gorilla Fins attached to the bottom of the boat improves tracking, handling and performance while pulling skiers. The boat also has an adjustable rudder for customized control depending on load and application, according to Malibu.

The ski boat has several options for wakeboarding, including a “wedge” hydrofoil that can be dropped into the water, ballast tanks that can be filled to throw a larger wake, and a wakeboard tower.

An engine flush kit is available as an option, as are a freshwater cooling system, stainless steel exhaust and stainless steel exhaust tips. A teak swim platform is standard, with a fiberglass platform optional.
