Riviera 56 Enclosed Bridge
|
Riviera Yachts of the Americas introduced four new models at the Miami International Boat Show in February: the 4700 Sport Yacht, M470 Sport Cruiser, 56 Open Flybridge and 56 Enclosed Flybridge. All four are built in Australia.
The 56 Enclosed Flybridge is a convertible with an air-conditioned flybridge that can be accessed from the saloon via teak steps. The helm station is forward and has a full-beam console to accommodate three 15-inch monitors. The flybridge also contains an L-shaped lounge, table and aft-facing seating. There is a second helm station aft for docking or perhaps backing down on a fish.
The interior layout includes three staterooms and three heads, as well as a galley, dinette and saloon on a single level. The U-shaped galley, aft and to port, is equipped with a three-burner stove, convection/microwave oven, and a pair of refrigerators. Forward of the galley is the dinette. The saloon comes with a 32-inch flat-screen television and Bose Lifestyle audio system. An aft window hinges up to open the saloon to the cockpit.
Below, the master stateroom is to starboard and has a large porthole to provide a light and airy feel, according to the builder. A storage area beneath the island berth can be accessed with the help of gas struts. Both the master and forward guest staterooms have an en-suite head compartment with stall shower. The third head compartment also has a stall shower. The third stateroom, meanwhile, is to port and has bunked berths and a large porthole.

Regal 2750 Cuddy
|
Regal Marine builds runabouts, express cruisers and sport yachts that range from a 19-footer to a soon-to-be-launched 52-footer. The 2750 FasTrac Cuddy is the largest boat in the Orlando, Fla., builder’s Sport Boats lineup.
FasTrac refers to the boat’s patented deep-vee hull design, with a stepped bottom and 24 degrees of deadrise at the transom. Power options include gas MerCruiser or Volvo Penta sterndrives or a Yanmar diesel. The gasketed engine hatch is electrically actuated.
In addition to performance, the focus of the 2750 is the cockpit. There is a transom sunpad and U-shaped aft seating, and the filler cushions can be removed to reveal a centerline walkthrough from the swim platform. The boat has a ski locker with a protective rubber mat and a 36-quart removable cooler with storage, among other storage options. To port is an entertainment center with a Corian countertop, sink, stereo system and an optional refrigerator. An optional stainless steel gas grill can be placed on the starboard side. The double-wide helm seat is to starboard, with a companion seat to port. The cabin contains U-shaped seating, which converts to a berth, and a removable dinette table.

Angler 230VBX
|
The 230VBX is the latest center console fishing boat from Angler Boats in Miami. A description of the boat should start with decoding the “VBX” in the 22-footer’s name. The “V” is Angler’s code for a deep-vee hull. The 230 has a 21-1/2 degrees of deadrise at the transom, compared to the outgoing model’s 17-degree hull. The “B” is for bracket, as in the engine bracket, where either a single or twin outboards are mounted abaft the boat’s full transom. Finally, the “X” denotes a head compartment for this model.
Angler builds a hand-laid fiberglass boat that’s 100 percent wood-free. Hulls carry a lifetime limited warranty. All critical hardware, according to the builder, is through-bolted with stainless steel locking nuts and bolts, and sealed with 3M 5200 adhesive.
A typical layout for the 230VBX might include an integral live well in the transom, in-deck storage boxes, gunwale rod storage, a bait prep station with tackle drawers on the back of the fiberglass leaning post, enclosed head compartment in the center console, cushioned storage boxes in the bow area and a recessed bow rail.

For fishing, it has a 12-gallon live well with a gasketed lid and 800-gph pump system, a pair of stainless steel gunwale rod holders and gunwale rod storage. There is storage in the console, a windshield with a stainless steel grab rail, 50-quart cooler flip seat, and a pair of integrated stern seats with backrests.
