Attendance at the 55th annual New England Boat Show, which ran from Feb. 26 through Sunday at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, was up 5 percent from last year, the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported.
The nine-day event attracted 43,068 people, an increase from 41,028 in 2010.
"Similar to what we've been seeing across all winter shows, the atmosphere was upbeat, with many exhibitors reporting stronger sales, commenting that more consumers came looking to buy this year," the NMMA said.
The association said about 70 percent of its shows this season - 10 of 14 - saw an increase in attendance.
The NMMA's last show of the season is the Northwest Sportshow, which takes place March 30-April 3 in Minneapolis.
