Costa Del Mar has introduced 15 new pairs of sunglasses this year. Two of the additions, Brine and Stringer sunglasses, join the company’s popular Fathom performance sunglasses. All three sunglasses have integral hinges, rubberized Hydrolite temples to help them stay snug, and cold-molded, co-injected nylon technology. Brine frames some in black, tortoise (pictured) or gunmetal. A variety of CostaDel Mar’s Wave 400 and Wave 580 lenses are available.

Marvair has introduced a new line of SeaMach reverse-cycle air conditioners that use R-407C, an environmentally friendly and non-ozone-depleting refrigerant, according to the company. The self-contained, water-cooled air conditioners use a newly designed compressor to operate on 50 Hz. Units are available in four sizes, with capacities of 7,000 BTUH ($1,895), 10,000 BTUH ($2,075), 12,000 BTUH ($2,105), and 16,000 BTUH ($2,210).

Raymarine’s new SmartPilot S1000 is a complete wireless autopilot system for powerboats up to 25 feet with hydraulic steering. Operators can use the remote control to select from a variety of courses, including straight line, GPS waypoint tracking, or any of four programmed fishing patterns: circle, cloverleaf, spiral and zigzag. The S1000 works from 2-1/2 mph to 65 mph, and SmartSteer programming takes speed into account when determining the boat’s rate of turn, according to Raymarine.
The system requires a GPS but no compass or rudder reference, and all fittings, tools and hoses for installation are included. Installation takes four to eight hours, according to the company.
