It’s time to get your boat ready for a summer on the water. Meguiar’s Quik Wax Marine is designed for application on either wet or dry surfaces to provide shine and carnauba wax protection. The spray-and-wipe aerosol wax, available in a 21-ounce can, is safe for use on fiberglass, painted fiberglass, stainless steel, painted aluminum, clear plastic and other non-porous surfaces, according to the company. 3M Marine

3M Marine Mildew Block works to inhibit mildew growth on most marine surfaces. It helps surfaces look cleaner and newer longer, reduces the amount of scrubbing needed to remove mildew stains, and blocks future growth, according to 3M. Mildew Block can be used on such surfaces as sealed wood, fiberglass, metal, plastic, vinyl and canvas, and the ready-to-use, non-toxic formula can be used both on deck and below, according to 3M. Flitz’s new Polishing Ball attaches to electric drills or air-powered tools to buff hard-to-reach places. It buffs out scuffs, oxidation, tanish, pitting and corrosion on metals, paints, fiberglass, plastics and wood, according to Flitz. The company says it works on both smooth and textured surfaces. The felt Polishing Ball is reusable and buffs at speeds up to 2,000 rpm. Retail price is $29.99 (includes 3.5-ounce bottle of liquid polish in the West Marine catalog). Star brite

Star brite says its new Sea Safe Boat Wash removes dirt, grease, oil, fish blood and stains without hard rubbing or scrubbing. It’s environmentally friendly and biodegradable, and can be used on fiberglass, paint, rubber, plastic and metal surfaces, according to the company. The HoseCoil self-coiling hose is designed to stow compactly to keep decks clear. Polyurethane construction gives the 20-foot hose its retractability and durability, according to the manufacturer. It has a flow rate of 360 gallons per hour, an adjustable spray tip nozzle with all stainless-steel components, a reinforced “strain-

303 Products’ highly concentrated Aerospace Cleaner is free of harsh chemicals and is designed for a variety of uses, depending on dilution. It is environmentally safe and can be used to clean tile, showers, fuel tanks, machinery and even fruits and vegetables, according to 303. The company says it works on vinyl, leather, metals, paint, plastic and rubber. Sunbrella recommends Aerospace Cleaner for use with its fabrics. Swobbit’s First Mate microfiber cleaning cloths can be used effectively on most boat surfaces and equipment, according to the company. A damp microfiber towel can be used to clean up the galley or remove fingerprints, smudges and grime from electronics displays and controls. It also can be used to clean heads and showers, remove oil and grease marks in the engine room, and clean, dry and polish exterior surfaces. Microfiber cloths are washable and reusable.
