WEST SYSTEM has introduced a scale for measuring small amounts of epoxy. The 320 Small Batch Epoxy Scale measures from 0.1 grams to 150 grams, or from a few drops to as much as 4 ounces of epoxy. The precalibrated digital scale, which turns off after 60 seconds of inactivity to save batteries, is enclosed in a 5-inch-by-3-inch-by-3/4-inch case and has instructions on the lid. It’s part of a kit that includes sealable dispensing bottles, mixing sticks, chenille pipe cleaners and two sizes of small plastic cups. The scale carries a two-year warranty, and the kit retails for $37.95. WEST SYSTEM, Bay City, Mich. Phone: (989) 684-7286. www.westsystem.com

Hunter Boat Anchors offers a line of patented anchors designed to be easily retrieved while minimizing damage to sensitive seabeds or reefs. Rather than retrieving a stuck anchor by force, the boater positions the boat in the opposite direction of the drag on the hook. As the boat moves past the anchor, a pivoting sleeve attached to the rode slides down the shank to the crown of the anchor and allows it to be removed backward, with little or no debris. The stainless steel anchors are available in three types — plow, grapnel, and what the company calls a “Danforth-style” anchor — from 13 pounds to 80 pounds for boats to 85 feet, according to Hunter. Prices start at $210. Hunter Boat Anchors, New Port Richey, Fla. Phone: (727) 847-9779. www.hunteranchors.com

Technol 403 diesel fuel conditioner is designed to increase cetane, improve fuel lubricity, increase fuel combustibility and clean the fuel system. It contains cetane enhancers, detergents, lubricants, combustion improvers, fuel stabilizers, corrosion inhibitors and a demulsifier, according to the company. Quality Yacht Service — a Marathon, Fla., marine fuel system specialist and Technol retailer (www.wecleanfuel.com) — says Technol 403 can raise cetane by up to six numbers for improved engine performance and fuel efficiency. It also increases fuel lubricity to protect the engine from the ill effects of low-sulphur fuel, according to the company, which says the product also controls microbes, disperses sludge and dissolves water up to 200 ppm. Retail price is $79.95 per gallon, which will treat 2,000 gallons of fuel. Technol Fuel Conditioners, Eatontown, N.J. Phone: (732) 542-0111. www.technol.com

The i6300 Electronic Control System from Teleflex uses CANbus-based electronics for throttle and shift control. The system’s shift and throttle actuators, available in 12- and 24-volt versions, are linked to the control head with a single 1/4-inch CANbus cable, rather than heavier, more complex wiring harnesses, according to Teleflex. Features include start-in-gear protection, neutral warm-up, and light-coded diagnostic information.

The i6300 is available for new boats, repowers or upgrades on boats with up to four engines, and offers unlimited multiple station capability. The control head is available in different styles, colors and trim options. Teleflex Marine, Litchfield, Ill. Phone: (217) 324-9400. www.teleflexmarine.com

Transducer and sensor manufacturer Airmar has introduced a through-hull video camera for real-time underwater viewing. The CA500 connects with a single cable to any display with an NTSC or PAL input. It has a low-light rating of 0.01 lux and is protected by a scratch- and crack-

resistant sapphire viewing window. The waterproof camera unit is available with a plastic or stainless steel housing and can be removed and serviced without hauling the boat, according to Airmar. The CA500 retails for about $595 with the plastic housing, $750 with the stainless steel housing. Airmar Technology Corp., Milford, N.H. Phone: (603) 673-9570. www.airmar.com
