Designs for two high-end powerboats from Tiara Yachts and True North promise some sleek new eye candy at the fall boat shows.
S2 Yachts revealed the design for an all new Tiara 50 Coupe, set to be delivered this fall to key dealerships.
The new 50 series will “redefine world-class luxury with innovative design, engineering and performance built for today’s modern lifestyle,” the builder said.
The Tiara 50’s salon and bridge deck offer 360-degree views open to the cockpit through sliding aft doors built with indoor/outdoor living in mind. The salon offers a single-level deck from the cockpit forward to the bridge, where a single step separates entertaining from the business of operating the vessel.
The yacht will be powered by twin Volvo IPS II propulsion systems in standard 800-hp or optional 950-hp configurations.
“We have taken a best practices approach, challenging each of our departments to deliver this groundbreaking new Tiara 50 to market with innovation and styling meant to appeal to conservative and progressive consumers alike,” S2 Yachts VP for sales and marketing George Hetzel said in a statement. “We are excited to deliver this next generation of Tiara Yachts.”
Meanwhile, True North Yachts, a division of US Watercraft LLC, said manufacturing is under way on a new flagship, the True North 50, for the 2014 model year.
In coordination with Langan Design Partners, True North designed the TN50 to transform its line, which currently consists of 34- and 38-foot models, by making the appearance more contemporary and focusing on the enjoyment of being outdoors, ease of ownership, safety and comfort at sea, the builder said.
"We are very excited about the addition of the True North 50. Our new flagship will complement our existing line of classic True North Yachts beautifully,” US Watercraft vice president of sales and marketing Gregg Weatherby said in a statement. “This model will provide our True North owners with an exciting next step in their waterborne adventures as well as open up opportunity for others looking to own a stunning and reliable yacht in the 50-foot range."
True North 50 Hull No. 1 is under construction and will be available for 2014.
