Virginia Beach has new towboat captain
Former Virginia Beach native Capt. Eli Hopkins has returned to his hometown, and now owns and operates TowBoatU.S. Virginia Beach. At 27, Hopkins is also the youngest owner/operator among a fleet of more than 400 towing assistance vessels stationed at 228 ports nationwide.
TowBoatU.S. Virginia Beach provides towing, ungrounding and salvage services for recreational boaters on the lower Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. The on-the-water towing service is one of 28 TowBoatU.S. towers in the Bay region.

Dealership moves into Viking center
Staten Island Boat Sales of New York City has opened its third location — a full-service dealership at Viking Yachting Center in New Gretna, N.J.
The new store will specialize in Viking Sport Cruisers and Carver Yachts. SIBS is the world’s largest dealer for Carver and Silverton, and also sells the Ocean Yachts line.
