Gloucester City Sail to hold nautical market

Gloucester City Sail, which holds educational workshops aboard the 57-foot schooner North Wind, has organized the Nautical Gear & Crafts Market. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 22 along the waterfront on King Street in Gloucester City, N.J. The rain date is May 23.

Area boaters will find valuable items at bargain prices just in time to commission their boats for the upcoming season. Others will find nautically themed items offered by professional crafters to purchase for decoration and gifts.

Gloucester City Sail will accept "gently used" marine-related donations for the foundation to sell as part of its fund-raising efforts. Information on these donations can be obtained by calling (856) 456-5168.

Admission is $1. Visit www.schoonergloucesternj.com for information on Gloucester City Sail.

Aquapalooza lands country music star

Country music star Brad Paisley will headline the AquaPalooza 2010 signature event, scheduled for July 10 at The Reserve at Lake Travis near Austin, Texas, according to Sea Ray Boats.

The event, hosted by Sea Ray and its local dealer Sail & Ski Center, will have Paisley performing in front of a crowd of thousands of concert-goers on boats, floats and kayaks.

For those who can't make it to Lake Travis, Sea Ray dealerships around the world will transform more than 100 additional locations into official AquaPalooza event sites, making it easy for boaters to get to and enjoy the family fun. Most events will take place the last two weekends in July. www.aquapalooza.com
