One man was taken to a hospital and rescuers recovered the body of a second man Monday morning after a fishing boat capsized at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

The 14- foot aluminum boat, with the two men aboard, apparently began taking on water some time around midnight near the first island at the crossing, said Chief Bruce Nedelka, division chief for Virginia Beach Emergency Medical Services. The men, who both were wearing life jackets, clung to the boat for a while, then decided to try to swim to the shore from where they were.
