REVISED NAUTICAL CHARTS

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has updated the following nautical charts:

• chart 11512, 61st ed. — Savannah River and Wassaw Sound,

• chart 12266, 29th ed. — Chesapeake Bay, Choptank River and Herring Bay; Cambridge.

The new editions are available through NOAA sales agents. A free list of authorized sales agents is available by contacting the National Ocean Service, Distribution Division (N/ACC3), 6501 Lafayette Ave., Riverdale, Md. 20737.

UPPER DELAWARE RIVER,

APPROACHES TO C & D CANAL, N.J. and PA.

Weeks Marine Dredging Co. bucket dredges 550 and 551 will be dredging through Jan. 27, 2007, in the vicinity of Upper Delaware River lighted buoy 29 (LL 3835) and Upper Delaware River channel buoy 31 (LL 3855) and lower vicinity of Upper Delaware River channel buoy 25 (LL 3813). The dredges will monitor VHF channels 13, 16 and 5. Mariners are requested to stay clear of the dredge, floating and submerged pipelines, buoys and wires and exercise extreme caution and cause no wake when approaching, passing and leaving a dredge operation location and to strictly comply with the Inland Rules of the Road. SANDY HOOK TO LITTLE EGG HARBOR, MANASQUAN INLET, MANASQUAN RIVER, N.J.

The Coast Guard is temporarily changing the regulations that govern the operation of the Route 35 Bridge, at ICW mile 1.1, across Manasquan River, at Brielle, N.J. The temporary rule will maintain the bridge in the closed-to-navigation position on three four-month closure periods from 8 a.m. on Nov. 1, 2006, until 5 p.m. on March 1, 2007; from 8 a.m. on Nov. 1, 2007, until 5 p.m. on March 1, 2008; and from 8 a.m. on Nov.1, 2008, until 5 p.m. on March 1, 2009. Extensive structural, mechanical, and electrical repairs and improvements necessitate these closures. (NOAA chart 12324)

BALTIMORE HARBOR, FORT MCHENRY CHANNEL, MD.

In December 2006, the following aids to navigation were scheduled to be changed:

• Fort McHenry Channel buoy 14 (LL 8285) will be changed to lighted buoy 14, showing a flashing red 4 seconds characteristic. (NOAA chart 12281)

ANNAPOLIS, OYSTER CREEK, MD.

The Oyster Harbor Citizens Association has established two lights to mark Oyster Creek, Chesapeake Bay, south of Annapolis, Md:

• Oyster Creek light 5 (LL 19687.4), 38 55 38.3N, 076 27 47.9W, flashing green 2.5 seconds, SG on pile,

• Oyster Creek light 6 (LL 19687.5), 38 55 39.7N, 0 76 27 48.0W, flashing red 2.5 seconds, TR on pile.

CHESAPEAKE BAY, TANGIER SOUND, SMITH ISLAND, BIG THOROFARE CHANNEL, MD.

Shoaling to a depth of less than two feet MLW has been reported in the vicinity of Big Thorofare West light 4 (LL 23220) and Big Thorofare West light 9 (LL 23235). Shoaling has also been reported to a depth of two feet MLW in the vicinity of Big Thorofare Channel daybeacon 20 (LL 23075) and Big Thorofare Channel daybeacon 21 (LL 23080). Mariners are urged to use extreme caution while using this channel. (NOAA chart 12231)
