Steyr Motors offers 13 diesel models, from a 50-hp 4-cylinder to a 250-hp 6-cylinder, all suited for the hybrid upgrade. Engine prices start at $18,400 for the 50-hp model and go up to $44,000 for the top-of-the-line 6-cylinder. The hybrid unit is extra and retails for between $16,730 and $17,900 (for retrofitting existing engines), including all connections, switches and the control center, but without batteries and installation. Steyr says the hybrid system works with inboards, sterndrives and Saildrives.
