Onassis yacht: Stepping back to the 1950s

It was once the most exclusive bar in the world, where stellar fame and fortune gathered by invitation only. A small, intimate lounge paneled in dark wood said to have come from a Spanish galleon, it was a discreet rendezvous where Marilyn Monroe laughed, Greta Garbo glowered and Winston Churchill savored fine brandies.

Tucked into the aft section of the luxury motoryacht Christina O, moored at Monte Carlo, it is still called Ari's Bar, after the vessel's late owner, Aristotle Onassis.
