APRIL 25 — The boat classified listings Web site boats.com has launched Boats.com magazine, a weekly publication with full-color listings of new and used boats from dealers and private sellers.
The first issue of Boats.com magazine debuted on March 15, a press release says. More than 14,000 copies were distributed to 1,200 locations — including marinas, yacht clubs, supermarkets and marine supply stores — throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
“Boats.com magazine provides a more complete strategy to better serve sellers by getting their product out in front of more consumers using multiple channels,” boats.com and YachtWorld.com group general manager James Nolan says in the release. Boats.com and YachtWorld.com are owned by Dominion Enterprises, which is also the parent company of Soundings.
“Our two-tiered approach allows users to export listings that will appear both online and in print with just one click of a mouse,” Nolan says.
With more than 143,000 new and used boat listings from more than 5,500 brokers and dealers, boats.com provides consumer access to financial and insurance products as well as boats for sale, the release says. This year, Boats.com magazine’s circulation is expected to expand to three additional U.S. regions.
For more information about advertising, dealers should call (866) 99-BOATS, Ext. 5, the release says. Private sellers should click here.
