Owner behind in payments burned his boat
A Christmas Day boat fire at a publicly owned Vashon Island dock was an arson set by a boat owner behind in his payments, King County prosecutors claim in charges filed earlier this month.
In charging documents, prosecutors claim a 58-year-old man who lived aboard the 31-foot Catalina sailboat set the fire sometime after 11 a.m. on Christmas Day while his boat the moored at King County's Dockton Park on Vashon Island.
