Pack of sharks dangerously close to shore

There was a shark sighting Tuesday off the south coast of Long Island. Well, several to be precise.

A section of West Hampton Dunes was closed to swimmers as several sharks were spotted near the shore in the afternoon, and they were still swimming around later in the evening.

On Wednesday morning, authorities were investigating the possibility of a connection between the sharks and a dead seal found on the beach.

“I’ve lived here 12 years and I’m here all year-round. I’ve never seen this before,” a local resident told CBS 2.
