Passenger accused of releasing ship's anchor

The FBI arrested a California man for releasing the anchor on a moving cruise ship carrying more than 1,000 people.

The Associated Press says the 44-year-old allegedly entered a restricted area and let the ship's rear anchor loose. The ship was not damaged, but the potential for significant damage to the rudder or propeller was a real danger, authorities say, and he now faces up to 20 years in prison and a half-million dollar fine.

The accused, caught on a video surveillance camera, says he was drunk at the time.
