Photographer and his media boat set to cover Sail Boston

Jim Raycroft Photography was selected as official photographer of the Boston Harbor 2009 Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge (Sail Boston 2009). In addition, his personal boat, an Albin 43 named Dauntless, has been selected as the official media boat for this event.

Boston is an official Port of the Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge 2009 (TSAC), scheduled to arrive in the Harbor July 7-8.

The trans-Atlantic regatta started in Vigo, Spain. From there, the fleet raced to Tenerife in the Canary Islands, en route to Bermuda. The fleet then raced to Charleston, S.C., before racing to Boston, for Sail Boston 2009. From Boston the fleet will cruise in company north to Halifax, Canada. From there the fleet will race back across the North Atlantic to Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Forty-four ships are participating in the race and will be docked at three locations around Boston Harbor. The ships will be available for public viewing July 9-12, and will be departing on July 13. Raycroft will have intimate access to the ships while under way entering Boston Harbor and dock side.
