Plans for new upscale marina announced

With waterfront property and boat storage in high demand, the launch of the Tiki Island Yacht Club located outside of Galveston, Texas, brings welcomed relief to the more than 600,000 registered boaters in Texas as well as potential investors.

The new YCOA marina will sit on more than five acres of prime waterfront real estate on West Bay, ensuring permanent water access for slip owners.

The newest member of the Yacht Clubs of the Americas (YCOA) network will feature 250 dry slips, accommodating vessels up to 45 feet in length and 50,000 pounds and 150 covered wet slips, accommodating vessels up to 100 feet in length. This is the first YCOA yacht club to be developed outside of Florida and The Bahamas.

The sales center for Tiki Island Yacht Club, located at 615 Tiki Island Drive in Galveston, will launch with a special open house event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 9 featuring a crawfish barbecue. The event will continue from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 10.
