Remains of person found on boat that exploded

Remains of a person were found early Tuesday afternoon by the state fire marshal's office on a 32-foot fiberglass inboard boat that exploded Monday, a spokeswoman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission said.

The boat was towed by Sea Tow around noon from Delray Harbor Club marina to another local marina. A medical examiner will then take custody of the "badly burnt remains" from the boat to identify them, said the FWC's Gabriella Ferraro.

Ferraro said the next of kin for Robert J. Romanelli, one of the men who was on board when it exploded and is missing, has been notified that remains have been found.
