Scottish adventurer Mark Beaumont told the British press of his “incredible ordeal” after being rescued from a life raft in the mid-Atlantic.
The 29-year-old was pulled to safety along with five crewmates after a wave swamped their boat as they attempted to row 3,500 miles from Morocco to Barbados in less than 30 days.
“We have been through an incredible ordeal. We are physically very battered – but we are alive and now in recovery and we have nine days now until we hit land,” Beaumont told The Daily Record. “Emotionally, when this kind of thing happens, you just have to deal with it.”
