Round-the-clock transducer advice

Boaters now can find answers to questions about transducers online at any time. Airmar Technology Corp. redesigned its Web site to provide around-the-clock technical assistance and product information.

Visitors to can submit questions, and the Web site — using a program called RightNow — will generate a relevant list of frequently asked questions and answers. If the list fails to answer a particular question, visitors can submit their queries to be reviewed and answered by Airmar employees, according to the company.

“As the leading American manufacturer of transducers and sensors for the marine industry, people have always looked to us for answers,” Airmar business development manager Peter Braffitt said in a press release. “By adding this innovative function to our Web site, we’ve made it more convenient for people to get the answers they need at the time they need them.”

Airmar planned to add links to product descriptions and a glossary to the site.
