A British man has reportedly rowed around the Isle of Wight to honor his late father and to raise money for charity.
Dave Twyman, 50, completed the challenge after restoring his father’s 9-foot rowing dinghy. Twyman, who works on local ferry boat, took on the challenge to thank Earl Mountbatten Hospice for the care given to his father.
"My sister walked the Wight when my dad died of cancer in 2010. She wanted me to take part but it wasn’t my forte,” he told the Isle of Wight County Press. "I told her, if she completed the walk, I would raise funds by attempting to row around the Island."
