Sailboat manufacturer loses it matriarch

Betty Schock, an integral part of the W.D. Schock Corporation that has built sailboats dating back to 1946, recently died, according to a statement from the company.

She and husband Bill Schock founded the company in 1946. Bill worked on design and production, while his wife Betty managed the office and developed the firm's marketing strategy.
