Sailing library debuts online with Walter Cronkite collection

The Tom Morris Library is now online as a virtual library, and will remain to exist in physical form at the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame Building when it is built on the Annapolis waterfront adjacent to the U.S. Naval Academy.

The library is being made possible through donations by family and friends of Tom Morris, the founder of Morris Yachts, who passed away in December 2008.

On the electronic shelves of the virtual library are references to books on sailing and related subjects donated to Hall of Fame. Information is provided in each book listing so those interested can borrow the book from their local library.

The online library debuts with The Walter Cronkite Collection — a donation of more than 225 books by the estate of Walter Cronkite, who was the former chair of the hall’s Honorary Advisory Committee.

More collections will be added in the coming months.
