Satellite photos used in search for missing yacht

The Irish coast guard is pinning its hopes on satellite images in the search for a week-overdue sloop named Golden Eagle. The boat is more than a week overdue at port in Crookhaven, southwest Ireland, after leaving Bermuda a month ago during the Caribbean hurricane season.

Fears for their safety are growing, with the Irish Independent reporting the ship has just four days supplies left.

There has been no contact with the vessel since the day it left port and a huge search by several coastguards has so far failed to find any sign of it.
